This is the starting point to becoming a professional.
Everyone who is interested in enrolling into our school is required to meet with our Admissions Representative for an interview. Our Admissions Representatives will spend some time with you to determine your motivations in deciding on a career in the beauty industry. Information will be presented to you regarding what the school has to offer as well as schedules and tuition.
Kenneth Shuler's Schools of Cosmetology do not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, ethnic origin, or religion. Our schools do not recruit students already attending or are admitted to other schools offering the same course of study.

The cosmetology industry is an exciting, adventurous and creative field full of color, fashion, and diversity. The instructors in the Kenneth Shuler Schools pride themselves in helping students acquire the knowledge and necessary skills to enter the field of hair design, nail technology and facial technology.
This is "A Look Good, Feel Good Business." Cosmetologists care for people's hair, skin and nails. They are in the business of making people look good and feel good about themselves. Cosmetology is a growing field with a positive job outlook. There is always a need for a hair stylist who can give a good hair cut.
The business opportunity in the field of cosmetology are limitless. Depending upon the individual's skills, self-confidence, attitude, knowledge and creativity, licensed cosmetologists can utilize their new skills in a variety of settings.
Job Market: "Lookin' Good"
What does this mean for you? It means that licensed cosmetologists enjoy "zero unemployment". In the 2003 job demand survey, the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences found that salon professionals qualified, professional cosmetologists to meet the demands of salons nationwide. What does this in South Carolina average between $30,000.00 and $50,000.00, including tips. The Economic Research Institute predicts that by the year 2015, the mean salary for a cosmetologist will be $44,729. How much can you expect to make? The answer is, it's really up to you.
Credit for Previous Instruction
Kenneth Shuler's Schools accepts transfer students from other approved schools. The hours received by the student must have been recorded with the previous school and must be less than one year old. Credit for those hours will depend on the student's abilities and knowledge in both theory and practical work. Determination is made through an examination and is left to the discretion of the Instructor and Director.
The school does not accept transfer hours for the Instructor Training Program.
