CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES IN SOUTH CAROLINA

There are three separate registration forms for our continuing education classes. These classes are held in the Columbia, Spartanburg, and North Augusta areas.

DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE CONTINUING ED?

During the 2006 legislative session, the SC General Assembly passed a law allowing certain individuals to be exempt from continuing education requirements. To qualify for these exemptions, all licensees must meet one of the following requirements:

BE AT LEAST 60 YEARS OLD, CONTINUOUSLY LICENSED EVERY YEAR SINCE 1991 AND NEVER DISCIPLINED BY THE BOARD.

OR

BE AT LEAST 50 YEARS OLD, CONTINUOUSLY LICENSED EVERY YEAR SINCE 1976 AND NEVER DISCIPLINED BY THE BOARD.

If you do not qualify for either of the CE exemptions, you will be asked if you have completed the CE requirements for renewal of your license. If you answer YES, you may later be required to provide proof. Please understand that if you falsify the renewal application, you may face disciplinary action by the Board up to and including revocation of your license.
