Let us train you on how to instruct the future movers and shakers in the beauty industry.

Teaching cosmetology is a wonderful way to share your expertise and love of the industry with others and to help your profession as well. Receiving your Instructor’s License will also allow you to participate in Continuing Education classes in our state.

The Methods of Teaching course offered by Mrs. Angie Shuler will do much more than prepare you for the Board. You will go to your first teaching experience/professional demonstration with confidence because you will know how to do the following:

Program Overview:

  • Present interesting, lively lessons that will get your point across using the most current and successful methods available.
  • Handle the disruptive students.
  • Diagnose and address every learning style, including your own.
  • Promote cooperative learning in a variety of ways.
  • Keep your sense of humor.
  • Enjoy your job.

  • Lessen your workload by making students more responsible.
  • Ensure that your students retain what they learn long-term–not just enough to pass the next test.
  • Involve your students in the learning process.
  • Show students how to work together to achieve a common goal.
  • Utilize the most current, interactive technology on the market.

The Details

Class dates for Summer Session 2025:

June 28th and 29th
July 12th and 13th
July 26th and 27th

Please Note — You must attend all six days for 45 hours of credit. Failure to attend the first day and missing more than one day will result in an automatic rollover to the following class session. All classes are held at the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. The address is 172 McSwain Drive, West Columbia SC 29169.  However, we reserve the right to change the location if necessary.

Payment Options – All payments are through Venmo or Cash App

Any convenience charges from any transaction will be your responsibility.

Option #1 – Early Bird Special Payment – SAVE $100

Total cost – $875 with this special.  To qualify – you must make the following payments by the following dates:

  • May 9, 2025 – pay a total of $450.
    • Paying $200 now will reserve a spot as long as the remaining $250 balance is paid by this first installment.
    • If you do not meet the deadline above, you will automatically be rolled over to Option #2.
  • June 20, 2025 – pay the remaining balance of $425.
    • You may make payments along the way towards your balance in amounts of $100 or more.

 

Option #2 – Regular Plan

Total Cost – $975.  To qualify – you must make the following payments by the following dates:

  • June 5, 2025 – pay a total of $500.
    • Paying $200 now will reserve a spot as long as the remaining $300 balance is pay by this first installment.
  • June 20, 2025 – pay the remaining balance of $475.
    • You may make payments along the way towards your balance in the amounts of $100 or more.

A Message From The Instructor

”Learning to teach is one thing. Learning to handle your classroom and all aspects of learning is something else. My educational background, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, 37+ years’ experience in the classroom, Pivot Point and Milady training and knowledge acquired as Educational Director for 8 cosmetology schools will be what makes the difference in your education. Having served as co-chairman of the national Cosmetology Educators’ Association (CEA) for 4 years and presenting classes for the past 18 years, as well as presenting at the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show and at the Orlando Premiere Hair Show will give you an edge. I have also taught Instructor CEU classes for many state associations. This is my 48th Methods Class with over 1000 graduates. I look forward to working with you and sharing my love for teaching.
