The KS Referral Program offers a $50 check to professionals who refer an individual who successfully enrolls and attends the first day of their program by the end of the calendar year. Eligible referrers include salon professionals, Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology graduates, and current Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology team members, except those in Admissions and Financial Aid. The qualifying programs for this referral bonus are Cosmetology, Hairstyling, Barber, Esthiology, Master Esthiology, and Massage Therapy.

During the initial tour, the lead fills out the intake form. The admissions representative reviews the form, asks for the phone number if applicable, and circles it. Before the program start, Student Care inputs the lead’s information, selects the referral code, and adds a follow-up note with a date set for the day after the program start. The Campus Director checks for any follow-up students, accesses the student profile to gather information, and contacts the SLY Referral via phone for address details. The Campus Director then requests a check from the Financial Aid Director for the referral and marks the follow-up as complete.

Schools are prohibited from offering any commission, bonus, or other incentive payments, whether directly or indirectly, based on success in securing enrollments or financial aid to any individual or entity involved in recruitment, admissions, or decisions regarding the awarding of FSA program funds.
