2019 BOSS Competition
Best of Shuler Schools
On May 20th, the Kenneth Shuler Corporate office opened its doors to over 60 cosmetology and esthetics students from our 8 different campuses for the 2019 Annual BOSS Competition.
To compete at the BOSS Finale competition, each campus hosts their very own in-house BOSS competition where the students go head-to-head competing against each other to see who will win first place in each category and get the chance to compete against the other KS schools.
What kind of categories do our campuses compete in? Here’s the scoop:
Cosmetology-only campuses compete in:
Male Hair-shaping, Female Hair-shaping, Hair color, Bridal Up-Do, Avant-Garde, and Fantasy.
In addition to the above categories, our cosmetology and esthetics campuses compete in:
Evening Make-up, FX Makeup, and Editorial Makeup.
After a long day of competition in Columbia, our students, staff, and Mr. Shuler spent their evening celebrating the success of the day at RIOZ: Brazilian Steakhouse. Following the meal, we got down to business and were thrilled to announce the winners of the 2019 BOSS Competition!

OVERALL WINNERS:
We especially want to congratulate our Rock Hill campus for taking home the Cosmetology BOSS trophy and our Florence school for winning the Esthetics BOSS trophy!
P.S. Last year, our Florence campus was the winner of the BOSS trophy and Rock Hill took home the esthetics trophy- so exciting to see these schools swap trophies and continue the great work!
